Bedridden Woman Murdered and Robbed in Her Home

Ban pong: A 53-year-old bedridden woman was brutally murdered in her home, with 7,500 baht in cash stolen. The crime scene revealed that the victim, Ms. Siphrai, was found dead in her home in Tambon Tha Pha, Amphoe Ban Pong, after being stabbed multiple times and suffering severe head injuries.

According to Thai News Agency, the investigation led by Ban Pong Police Station uncovered that the suspect broke in through the back window and rummaged through the victim's belongings, taking the money that had been recently returned to her by her caretaker, Ms. Nittaya. The caretaker had borrowed the amount from the deceased's younger sister due to financial difficulties and returned it earlier in the day.

Ms. Nittaya, who had been caring for Ms. Siphrai for three years, found the victim dead upon her return to bathe her in the evening. She immediately informed the victim's sister after discovering the crime. Ms. Nittaya also mentioned observing two unidentified men near the house two days prior, but she could not identify them.

Police suspect the crime was a premeditated robbery, with the culprits aware that the victim was bedridden and alone. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the heinous act.
