Bangkok: BCPG Public Company Limited has joined hands with National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) as a partner to invest and develop a Sustainable Data Center to support the cloud usage needs of the public and private sectors, including future digital infrastructure.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Rawee Boonsinsuk, Chief Executive Officer and President of BCPG, stated that this collaboration combines the strengths of both organizations. The partnership with NT represents a new S-Curve for BCPG to enter the Sustainable Data Center service business. The focus will be on providing cloud services to the government sector (Government Cloud), which has high growth potential and plays a crucial role in driving the country's digital economy. BCPG is prepared to further develop the power plant project to support the growth of the Data Center in the future.
Colonel Sanphachai Huvanandana, NT's CEO, emphasized that NT is equipped with a nationwide internet network, data centers, gateway systems, and submarine cable networks, which can be extended to offer full-scale environmentally friendly AI and ESG Solutions services. He highlighted that having a data center that uses clean energy is now a necessity to support government data and organizations aiming for Net Zero. This cooperation will benefit the government and the country by ensuring data security through the storage of important government data within the country on a system that meets international standards.
