Bangkok: "Arunoma" officially took her oath in parliament, marking the commencement of her role as a Member of Parliament (MP).
According to Thai News Agency, the parliamentary session, chaired by Mr. Phradon Prisananantakul, the Second Vice President of the House of Representatives, highlighted that there are currently 494 MPs eligible to perform their duties. It was also noted that the Nakhon Ratchasima MP from the Bhumjaithai Party had their rights revoked.
The meeting addressed the situation of Ms. Mukdawan Leungsinil, a former MP from Nakhon Si Thammarat representing the Bhumjaithai Party. The Supreme Court ordered the revocation of her right to run for election or vote for a period of 10 years, resulting in her loss of MP status.
Further details were provided by Mr. Phradon, who informed the Election Commission about the by-election results for Bueng Kan MPs. In this election, Ms. Oruma Bunsiri from the Bhumjaithai Party emerged victorious. Ms. Oruma subsequently took the oath of office, contributing to the total of 494 MPs ready to fulfill their roles.
