Army Region 1 Commander Inspects Combat Readiness and Reinforcement Plans for Thai-Cambodian Border

Kanchanaburi: The commander of the 1st Army inspected the combat readiness of the 9th Infantry Regiment, Surasee Force, according to the Royal Thai Army's emergency response plan, and is ready to reinforce the 2nd Army on the Thai-Cambodian border.

According to Thai News Agency, reporters reported that last evening at the tactical training ground of the 9th Infantry Division in Kanchanaburi Province, Lt. Gen. Amorn Boonsuya, Commander of the 1st Army Area, traveled to inspect the readiness of the units according to the Army's emergency response plan. This included the Special Task Force Infantry Regiment of the 1st Army Area and the Rapid Deployment Battalion RDF of the 1st Army Area, with Maj. Gen. Atsadawut Panyarachun, Commander of the 9th Infantry Division, welcoming him.

The 9th Infantry Regiment was assigned by the Royal Thai Army to provide forces to support the Royal Thai Army's operations in using forces according to the Royal Thai Army's emergency response plan into the area of responsibility and to provide additional support for combat forces in the Thai-Cambodian border area in the area of responsibility of the 1st Army Area.

The preparation unit has inspected combat readiness according to procedures to check the readiness of personnel and equipment to perform missions in every area assigned by the Royal Thai Army.
