Anutin’s Wife Apologizes for Teasing Media, Accepts Criticism

Bangkok: Ja Thananon, wife of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, has publicly apologized for making a joke about the media concerning the Prime Minister. She clarified that her comments were intended as a joke and that she never meant to threaten or belittle the media. She has acknowledged the criticism and expressed her sincerity in accepting it.

According to Thai News Agency, Thananon Niramis posted her apology on her personal Instagram story, addressing the media directly. Her initial comment, "Why are you so cruel to the Prime Minister? I'll remember that from now on. You've gone too far," which was intended as a joke, led to widespread criticism.

Ms. Thananon expressed her regret, stating that she wanted to apologize to all media members for her previous remarks. She acknowledged that her joke might have been inappropriate or made some individuals uncomfortable. She emphasized that her intention was never to harass or devalue the media's work.
