Bangkok: "Anutin" reveals that the draft of the Gambling Act has been signed, throwing the question to the Cabinet Secretary, saying that it has not yet been submitted to the Cabinet, indicating that opinions from other government agencies must also be listened to.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated that the draft of the Gambling Act has not been presented to the Cabinet for deliberation this week. He confirmed that he signed the draft last Friday and forwarded it to the Office of the Cabinet Secretary. The delay in submission to the Cabinet meeting remains unclear, and Anutin suggested that the Cabinet Secretary is responsible for determining the timeline for its submission.
Anutin emphasized the importance of considering feedback from various government agencies before proceeding with the draft. He noted that this additional step might be necessary to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed legislation. The draft's current status raises questions about the inter-agency consultation process and the timeline for the Cabinet's review.
