Sisaket: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, took to the streets of Sisaket Province in a pickup truck, spearheading the Bhumjaithai Party's campaign around Phu Sing Market. Accompanied by his wife, Ja Thananon, who was fulfilling her childhood dream of participating in a beauty parade, Anutin expressed confidence in his party's victory without seeking divine intervention.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin's campaign efforts followed a speech delivered in support of Ms. Jintawan Traisaranakul, also known as Teacher Eve, a Bhumjaithai Party candidate in the Sisaket Constituency 5 by-election. After the address, Anutin paid respects to sacred sites in Phu Sing District, including the Theparak Shrine and the District City Pillar Shrine, where he prayed for the peace, strength, happiness, and victory of Thailand and its people.
When questioned about his prayers, Anutin confidently stated that he did not need to request victory in the by-election from the sacred spirits, believing that a win for the Bhumjaithai Party would come without disturbing them. His focus remained on the well-being of the nation.
The campaign trail saw Anutin actively engaging with the local community at Phusing Market, where he greeted vendors and rode a motorcycle with a sidecar to connect with villagers, urging them to vote for candidate number 2. He then joined Ms. Jintawan and other party members, including Mr. Paradorn Prisananantakul, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, and Ms. Traisulee Traisaranakul, on an e-taek vehicle to continue their lively interaction with the public.
Anutin's wife, Ms. Thananon Niramis, participated enthusiastically by riding in a tractor-trailer, holding a sign for candidate number 2, and encouraging votes with her chants. She expressed joy at fulfilling her childhood aspiration of being part of a parade, as she had always wanted to be Nang Noppamas but felt hindered by her appearance.
The campaign concluded at the PTT gas station in Phu Sing District, marking the end of a spirited two-kilometer journey that left a positive impression on the community.
