Anutin Highlights Ministry of Interior’s Focus on Livelihoods and Economic Development

Sisaket: Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has emphasized the Ministry of Interior's commitment to enhancing the livelihoods of citizens and fostering economic growth. This announcement came amidst discussions of the E-SAN Life Drive event, which involves eight northeastern provinces supported by the Bhumjaithai Party. Anutin refrained from commenting on the specifics of organizing the event but reiterated the ministry's focus on community welfare and economic initiatives.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed the rationale behind selecting Sisaket Province for the E-SAN Life Drive event, clarifying that the choice was not politically motivated to designate the area as Bhumjaithai Party territory. Instead, the event aims to work collaboratively with the eight southern Isan provinces to boost opportunities and understanding between the government and the public. Key areas of focus include the economy, tourism, agriculture, and industry. Anutin noted that engagement with private sector entrepreneurs, including Chamber of Commerce presidents from each province, is crucial to implementing effective strategies.

Anutin further explained that the ministry's role extends beyond community management to include economic development and opportunity creation. He expressed satisfaction upon meeting several deputy governors responsible for economic matters, indicating progress in their assigned tasks. Anutin highlighted the importance of monetary measures to assess performance and increase income for citizens. He acknowledged that while operational guidelines are in place, any budgetary or logistical barriers would be promptly addressed. Coordination with various government agencies may be required for issues beyond the ministry's scope. The event also marked a collaborative effort with the participation of private sector representatives and officials from the National Economic and Social Development Board, the Budget Bureau, and other agencies to enhance problem-solving and development strategies.
