Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has initiated the formation of a committee to manage the selection of candidates, conduct primary votes, and prepare for the upcoming elections. This move marks a significant development as the party gears up for the election process.
According to Thai News Agency, Sirapop Duangsodsri, Director of the Bhumjaithai Party, disclosed that on June 24, Mr. Anutin signed an order to establish a committee responsible for selecting candidates for the party's Members of Parliament (MPs). This committee will also screen candidates who will be presented to party members in each province for consideration in the primary voting process. This step is deemed necessary by the party in light of the current political climate.
The Bhumjaithai Party's decision to withdraw from the coalition government has sparked interest from various sectors. Sirapop noted a remarkable increase in inquiries from the public, local politicians, and former MP candidates expressing their desire to join the party.
