Anusorn Questions Legitimacy of Anutin’s Cabinet and Pheu Thai’s Role

Bangkok: Anusorn Iamsaard, a party-list MP for the Pheu Thai Party, has raised questions regarding the appearance and legitimacy of Anutin's newly formed cabinet. Emphasizing that the Pheu Thai Party had no involvement in the cabinet's formation, Anusorn stated that the responsibility lies with the People's Party, which he described as a "self-propelled scaffolding."

According to Thai News Agency, Anusorn clarified that Pheu Thai had neither voted for nor nominated Anutin, thereby playing no part in the establishment of the current cabinet. He asserted that the cabinet's creation was solely due to the actions of the Prachachon Party, likening it to a mix of orange and blue, which results in dull colors such as gray, brown, and purple. He implied that these colors represent a lack of vibrancy and appeal, further distancing Pheu Thai from any association with the current government.

Anusorn further elaborated on Pheu Thai's stance, stating that the party remains committed to its role as a true opposition force. The party intends to rigorously monitor the Cabinet and government without being concerned about cooperation with other parties. He expressed skepticism about the People's Party's ability to support or challenge the government it helped establish, suggesting that the party must now deal with the consequences of its actions.

In a metaphorical remark, Anusorn stated, "The People's Party should now understand that sugarcane in the elephant's mouth is difficult to pull out and return to its original state. Learning to tie it must also learn to untie it." This statement highlights the complexity of the political situation and suggests that the public will be closely observing how the People's Party manages the government it set in motion.
