Bangkok: Searching the house of a laywoman, a close friend of "Tid Acha", found several robes. "Big Tao" admitted that yesterday, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and related agencies brought a court warrant to search the residence of Ms. Kor Kai, a close associate of "Tid Acha", the former abbot of Wat Trithat Thep, and found several robes inside the house.
According to Thai News Agency, at 10:00 a.m., Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat Pankaew, deputy commander of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), revealed the progress of the investigation to find information and evidence related to Wat Tri Thotsathep. Yesterday, officers from relevant agencies used a court warrant to search a house in a famous village of a high-society woman, initials K. Kai, a close female friend of Tid Acha, in order to search for evidence and to question the woman in question.
From the search inside the house, some evidence was found, one of which was a monk's robe with many layers. However, it is still unknown which monk it belongs to because the person involved has not revealed it. From the interrogation of Ms. K., her testimony was useful and satisfactory. It can be expanded to lead to the investigation of corruption cases in the future.
In addition, the high-society woman, Ms. K., agreed to allow the officers to examine the information in her phone, which is considered a good way of cooperation.
However, after the search ended at 6:00 p.m., the officers invited Ms. K. to be questioned at the Anti-Corruption Division for the entire night before releasing her.
The investigation found that this high-society woman was addicted to gambling. It is believed that she used the money she received from 'Tid Acha' to gamble.
