Angry Young Man Drives Against Traffic, Injures Rider in Bangkok Incident

Bangkok: A chaotic scene unfolded on Suk Sawat Road in the Chom Thong District when a hot-headed young man drove his motorcycle against traffic, resulting in an accident that injured a rider. The incident, captured in a video clip, shows the young man in a state of anger, cursing, and physically attacking the rider, who attempted to apologize with a wai gesture.

According to Thai News Agency, the altercation occurred near a bus stop and involved Mr. Peerapan, a 25-year-old rider. He was transporting a passenger from under the Suk Sawat Expressway to Wongwian Yai when a bicycle traveling against traffic collided with his vehicle. Although Mr. Peerapan was not seriously injured, his passenger was left in shock. Concerned, Mr. Peerapan approached the young man to inquire about his well-being, only to be met with hostility and aggression.

Mr. Peerapan recounted that the young man challenged him, saying, "Do you want to get into trouble?" before proceeding to punch him, as seen in the viral clip. Despite the attack, Mr. Peerapan maintained his composure, raising his hands in a wai to apologize and defuse the situation. Unfortunately, his attempts were in vain as the aggressor continued his assault until he fell down. The situation de-escalated with the arrival of the police, prompting the young man to flee the scene on his motorcycle.

The altercation has left Mr. Peerapan's father deeply upset. After viewing the video, he expressed his dismay, questioning why his son was subjected to such violence and urging the police to take swift legal action against the perpetrator.
