Bangkok: AMR Asia Public Company Limited (AMR) has successfully handed over the Pink Line extension project, known as the "Sri Rat - Muang Thong Thani" section, and is set to recognize revenue in the second quarter of 2025. The company anticipates that this project will play a significant role in improving its performance this year. Additionally, AMR is inviting the public to experience the service without charge from today until June 16, 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Natthachai Siriko, Chief Executive Officer of AMR, expressed pride in contributing to the national rail system project. As a co-developer with the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, AMR was tasked with engineering work for the Monorail system in the Pink Line Extension Project, Si Rat-Muang Thong Thani Section. The project involved three main components: the station building assembly system, conductor rail installation, and signal control equipment installation.
The project encompasses two stations, Impact Muang Thong Thani Station (MT01) and Muang Thong Thani Lake Station (MT02), with a total project value exceeding 100 million baht. Operations began in early 2024, establishing a crucial link between Muang Thong Thani and Bangkok's main mass transit system. This connection is expected to accommodate a high volume of passengers and alleviate traffic congestion during major events.
Mr. Natthachai emphasized the impact of the rail infrastructure development, highlighting its role in promoting convenient, fast, and safe travel. He noted that AMR is dedicated to fostering a sustainable public transport system, believing that a robust rail network supports urban growth by providing an eco-friendly energy source.
AMR plans to continue recognizing revenue from ongoing projects and intends to participate in future bidding opportunities across public and private sectors to bolster its project backlog. The company aims to enhance its revenue and profit in 2025 through extensive business expansion in IT solutions, maintenance services, and high-quality hardware and software distribution. The public is encouraged to try out the new services for free at Impact Muang Thong Thani Station (MT01) and Muang Thong Thani Lake Station (MT02) until June 16, 2025.
