Bangkok: "Akhara" has reiterated that the cabinet reshuffle process remains ongoing, with no interference from Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao. Despite speculation, the Pheu Thai Party has yet to announce any changes, maintaining a stance of quiet observation.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Akara Prompao, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, addressed the ongoing rumors about cabinet reshuffles. He clarified that the Pheu Thai Party has not made any formal announcements, suggesting that the current political atmosphere is one of calm. Akara emphasized that any developments would be communicated if they occur.
Regarding Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, an MP for Phayao and advisor to the Kla Tham Party's chairman, Akara noted that Thammanat has not communicated any information about potential reshuffles. Although they are brothers, Akara mentioned he has not had recent meetings with Thammanat and cannot predict any forthcoming changes. He stressed that within the Pheu Thai Party, there is currently no movement or official meetings discussing a reshuffle. Thammanat has not suggested any political changes, focusing discussions more on work-related matters rather than political strategies.
As for any reassurances from Lt. Col. Thammanat concerning the reshuffle, Akara expressed confidence in Thammanat's understanding of his working style and role within the Pheu Thai Party. Akara also mentioned that he has not considered joining the Kla Tham Party, as he remains committed to his ministerial responsibilities under the Pheu Thai Party's quota. He acknowledged the importance of heeding advice from party elders, underscoring his continued dedication to his current duties.
