Air Force Women’s 4×100 Relay Team Clinches Gold Medal at Thailand Championships

Pathum Thani: The 4x100m women's team from the Air Force Club secured the gold medal at the Thailand and International Athletics Championships, enhancing their preparedness for the upcoming 2025 World University Games.

According to Thai News Agency, the event was held at the National Athletics Training Center under the Athletics Association of Thailand. The competition, known as the 69th Thailand and International Athletics Championships for the Royal Trophy of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen 2025, took place in Pathum Thani Province.

The most anticipated event was the women's 4x100m relay. The "Air Force Girls" team, comprising Thai national athletes Manasda Saramano, Jiraphat Khan-onta, Sukanda Petchraksa, and Athicha Petchkul, finished first with a time of 45.97 seconds, earning them the gold medal. The Royal Thai Police team followed closely to win the silver medal with a time of 47.79 seconds, while the bronze medal was claimed by Surat Thani Rajabhat University, clocking in at 50.17 seconds.

The Air Force Women's Team expressed satisfaction with their performance and statistics. They will now proceed to a training camp in preparation for the 2025 World University Games in Germany scheduled for the middle of next month.

In the men's category, the Young Typhoon Air Force team, featuring athletes Nattawat Aiem-udom, Thawatchai Him-iad, Chutitat Phruksaranan, and Wirayut Daen-khon, won the silver medal with a time of 39.98 seconds. They were narrowly beaten by the South Korean team, which took home the gold with a time of 39.79 seconds. The Royal Thai Police team secured the bronze medal.

The Air Force Club celebrated a triumphant outing by winning the King's Cup in both the Male and Female Citizens categories.
