Yingluck’s Return to Thailand Not Coordinated with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Says Maris.

Bangkok: Maris Sengiampong, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has stated that former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has not coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding her return to Thailand. In addition, Maris revealed uncertainty about the number of nationalities held by Thaksin Shinawatra, Yingluck's brother and another former Prime Minister. According to Thai News Agency, Maris elaborated on the ongoing process of appointing members to the Thai Technical Committee (JTC). He mentioned that the committee's formation is still under consideration, with the possibility of additional personnel being included. Although the timeline for finalizing the appointments and presenting them to the Cabinet is not yet clear, Maris assured that it would be completed as swiftly as possible. Amid rumors about Yingluck's potential return to Thailand, Maris confirmed that there has been no communication with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this matter. He also noted that the Prime Minister had not addres sed the issue. When questioned about allegations that Thaksin Shinawatra holds dual citizenship and its implications for his involvement in political campaigns, Maris admitted ignorance regarding the number of citizenships Thaksin possesses. He then promptly departed, citing other commitments.
