Nonthaburi, From the case of sharing a clip of 5 plainclothes police officers arresting a woman, handcuffing her and arguing, the latest is that the young woman in the clip has come out to ask for justice, stating that she was arrested by the police, claiming that she was gathering to use drugs, even though she was sitting in front of her house and had just signed up to join a drug rehabilitation program in the area. Social media has been sharing criticism of the officers' work while arresting a woman who was handcuffed and attempted to drag her away with the officers before arguing loudly. The woman was sitting on the ground. The incident occurred on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. The latest news is that the reporter went to inspect the scene and met Ms. Piyanuch or Dalah, 30 years old, the woman who was handcuffed. She said that on that day, she was sitting at home with only her aunt and one young nephew. She saw a group of 4-5 men walk by and then they came back to ask who was in the house. Then they came into the house, claiming that a neighbor had complained that it was a place for drug use. After that, they asked to go up into the house but did not see anyone. They asked if she was still using drugs. She replied that she was still using drugs, but had not used drugs in 2 days because she had voluntarily quit by entering a drug rehabilitation program and was struggling with her own mind. Why didn't you give me a chance? He said he didn't care and would arrest everyone because using drugs was wrong anyway. He also said that the program would arrest them anyway because the budget was used to feed drug addicts. He wanted to take her to the police station. Even though she told him that she had to tell her mother before going, and her mother's house was only 2 houses away from the scene, the officers did not give up and helped lock her up and put her in handcuffs. She asked what charges she was charged with when the neighbor said it was a place for drug use. But wh en the police came to inspect, there was no gathering whatsoever. So she thought that the officers' actions that day were bullying, so she resisted and called for help from the villagers. She admitted that she had gone for treatment once before, 4-5 years ago, when her mother took her there, but she went back to using drugs again. But 2 months ago, she decided to join a drug rehabilitation program on her own, 7 months after giving birth, because she wanted to improve herself to be a better person. The mother said that she felt sorry for the incident and thought that her daughter was being bullied. After her daughter had been in a drug rehabilitation program for the past two months, her daughter's behavior had improved. She did not extort money or fight with her. She wanted her daughter to be given a chance. Reporters asked the Chaipruk Police Station in Nonthaburi Province. One of the arresting police investigators revealed that on the day of the incident, officers went to investigate after receiving a repo rt that there was drug use in a house on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. Therefore, they led a team of 5 officers to investigate. When they arrived at the house, they found Ms. Piyanuch, who was arrested, sitting inside the house with her aunt. They invited her out to be questioned, having already asked for permission. However, when they were brought out, they asked Ms. Piyanuch whether she had used drugs. Her aunt admitted that she had. They invited her to the police station, but Ms. Piyanuch started yelling and threw herself on the floor, refusing to leave. She also cursed at the police. Ms. Piyanuch's behavior was to discourage the police and let her go. However, if the police let her go, people would copy her and complain that they would do the same thing again. However, they confirmed that the officers' work followed legal procedures and they recorded a clip as evidence. Source: Thai News Agency
