Bangkok: Wisut Chainarun, a Member of Parliament for the Pheu Thai Party, has advised Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, to exercise patience and acclimate to being in the opposition. This advisory comes amidst swirling rumors of a clandestine agreement between the Prachachon Party and the Bhumjaithai Party to support Anutin as the next prime minister under certain political contingencies.
According to Thai News Agency, Wisut Chainarun addressed speculations that suggest the Bhumjaithai Party and Prachachon Party might have struck a deal that would position Anutin Charnvirakul as prime minister if a political mishap were to occur involving Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the current prime minister and minister of culture. Wisut emphasized that for Anutin to ascend to the premiership, he must first contend with Chaikasem Nitisiri, the prime ministerial candidate from the Pheu Thai Party. "It's not your turn yet. Wait a bit," Wisut remarked, questioning the urgency behind Anutin's purported ambitions.
Wisut further challenged the feasibility of such a political maneuver, questioning whether the differing ideologies of the involved parties could indeed align. He expressed skepticism about their prospects of success, suggesting that Anutin should become accustomed to his role in the opposition for the time being. When probed about the possibility of the coalition government shifting allegiances, Wisut dismissed such concerns, rhetorically asking, "Aren't you ashamed of the people?"
