Village Security Guard Captures Infamous Thief Known as “Nong Spiderman”

Chonburi: Security guards at a village in Chonburi Province arrested Mr. Nong, nicknamed "Spiderman the Pirate", after he went on a rampage, climbing over the village wall to steal property, causing millions in damages. According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from a village in Moo 8, Soi Tung Rahan, Tambon Huai Yai, Amphoe Bang Lamung, Chon Buri Province at 3:00 AM last night captured the image of a perpetrator climbing a wall into the village. The perpetrator was a man wearing a cap, a black tank top, and short jeans. He was initially unable to climb the 4-5 meters high wall but later used a stick to aid his attempt and succeeded in entering the village. Once inside, the village security team, who had been lying in wait, arrested the Spiderman thief immediately. An examination revealed that the individual, identified as Nong, aged 30, was carrying a black shoulder bag containing various tools for prying open, including a key to cut metal and a screwdriver. Reporters visiting the village following the incident met with the security team responsible for the arrest. The team revealed that the village security guards were on duty inside the guardhouse when they received an alarm from the CCTV cameras. Upon spotting the criminal climbing into the village, they coordinated their efforts to apprehend him successfully. Further insights were provided by Mr. Supachai, a victim whose house had been broken into twice by Mr. Nong Spiderman. His losses included gold-framed Buddha amulets, a TV, and cash valued at no less than one million baht. Mr. Supachai reported the incidents to Huai Yai Police Station, but the case had not made progress until the village security guards caught the thief. Residents who have been victims of Mr. Nong's thefts are encouraged to report the crimes and identify the perpetrator at Huai Yai Police Station to pursue legal action to the fullest extent.
