Col. Prasopchok Aimpinij, Superintendent of Huai Khwang Police Station, revealed that from the investigation, the 25-year-old woman, the owner of the car, traveled from her residence in the Phra Ram 4 area to do some business in the Huai Khwang area, so she stopped to buy coffee at the shopping mall where the incident occurred. The victim brought a male, black, Thai cat, about a year old, in the car. However, when she went down to buy coffee, she did not turn off the engine because she had to turn on the air conditioning in the car for fear that the cat would be hot and have difficulty breathing. She then went down to buy coffee, taking the remote control with her. As she was about to enter the mall, she saw her car drive past her, so she shouted for the officers to help intercept it. The perpetrator then tried to drive around looking for another exit, but the mall only had one exit. The mall officers tried to chase after the car, but the perpetrator drove through the police cordon, crashed into the iron fence, and went out onto Ratchadaphisek Road, heading towards Suthisan Intersection. Initially, the investigation team has identified the physical appearance of the perpetrator. She appears to be a tomboy. An inspection found that the car was currently moving in the Min B uri area and had the license plate removed. There were only 2 bars of gas left, which allowed it to run for another 100 kilometers.
