Bangkok: A 13-year-old boy fell victim to a deceptive scheme orchestrated by a transgender woman who created a fake Instagram profile. The incident was one of two cases highlighted by the Sai Mai Must Survive organization as it assists victims of sexual abuse.
According to Thai News Agency, Sai Mai Must Survive held a press conference this afternoon featuring two victims. The first victim, a 13-year-old male student, was lured into a dorm room by a transgender woman posing as a beautiful woman on a fake Instagram account. The woman attempted to commit indecent acts and disseminated private photos of the boy. The victim recounted how he was approached on a social media app by someone named 'Rin', who claimed to be interested in establishing a relationship. After exchanging private photos, the victim agreed to meet at a location in the Lat Krabang area, where the deception unfolded.
The boy met two girls at the location, one purporting to be 'Rin's' younger brother. He was coerced into taking a shower, during which he was molested by the transgender woman. Despite his resistance and eventual escape, the perpetrator threatened to post incriminating photos online unless the victim complied with further demands. The photos were ultimately shared, leading to his humiliation at school. Sai Mai Must Survive discovered that the transgender woman is a student at a well-known university in the Lat Krabang area and may have targeted other victims.
The second case involved a 21-year-old woman who was similarly deceived into sharing lewd photos through a dating app. When she refused to meet the man in person, he released the photos, causing significant distress. The woman revealed that the man, who later sent threatening messages, was an employee at a post office with a history of blackmailing women. Her complaint to the police in December led to little progress, prompting her to seek help from Sai Mai Must Survive.
Mr. Ekkapop Lueangprasert, the founder of Sai Mai Must Survive, announced plans to accompany both victims to meet with the commander of the Cyber Police to pursue legal action against the perpetrators.
