CHACHOENGSAO: The bodies of a female teacher and her ex-boyfriend were discovered in a car on the outskirts of Chachoengsao Province following a fatal shooting incident. The teacher, identified as Ms. Raiwin, was shot dead by her ex-boyfriend, Mr. Athitwat, who later turned the weapon on himself, according to local authorities. The incident occurred after a driving lesson turned violent. According to Thai News Agency, the tragedy unfolded in the Bang Nam Priao District when Ms. Raiwin, a 25-year-old teacher at Sakd 40 School, was shot by Mr. Athitwat, also 25, who was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle. The motive appeared to stem from jealousy after Mr. Athitwat learned of another teacher's interest in Ms. Raiwin. The crime took place just 100 meters from her home, where they had stopped the car. Mr. Athitwat used a firearm to shoot Ms. Raiwin in the head before abandoning her sister, Ms. Pawanrat, 15, and fleeing with the body. The authorities were alerted to the situation by Ms. Pawanrat, who witnes sed the shooting and immediately informed her family, leading to a police report. Late last night, local police received a tip-off about a suspicious vehicle parked on a road leading into Soi Thesaban 12. Officers discovered a gray-black Toyota Yaris with bullet holes, inside which they found the bodies of the two deceased. Ms. Raiwin was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the back of her head, while Mr. Athitwat had also sustained a gunshot wound to his head, suggesting a murder-suicide. The bodies were retrieved and sent to the Department of Forensic Medicine at Srinakharinwirot University for an autopsy to confirm the circumstances of their deaths. It was later revealed that Mr. Athitwat had posted an apology on Facebook before the bodies were discovered, indicating premeditation.
