Udon Thani: A thief sneakily stole clothes without a second thought at a 24-hour laundry shop in the heart of Udon Thani city. A young man, feigning as a customer, entered a coin-operated laundry facility and seized the opportunity to steal clothes without hesitation.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident transpired around 2:00 AM on March 15 at a 24-hour coin-operated laundry located on Chintakam Road, Mak Khaeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani. A man, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a white shirt and black and white striped shorts, and carrying a black backpack, entered the shop with a calm demeanor. CCTV footage revealed that his image was not captured for more than two minutes. He then exited the shop, appearing contemplative as he searched for something to steal. Spotting a basket of clothes left by a customer for washing, he discreetly looked around and snatched a pair of pants. The thief executed the theft calmly and smoothly.
Subsequently, the shop owner reported the incident to the investigation officer at Udon Thani City Police Station, providing the CCTV footage as evidence to aid in identifying the thief. The owner also reported that the thief stole items worth approximately 1,000 baht, including some washed customer clothes. The shop owner expressed concerns for his safety and the security of his property following the incident. He urged the police to swiftly track down the thief and bring him to justice, fearing a potential repeat of the crime.
