Bangkok, Royal Gazette The Royal Decree for the selection of Senate members in 2024 has been published, effective immediately. Today (11 May 2024), the Royal Gazette website has published the announcement of the Royal Decree for the selection of Senate members, B.E. 2024. In essence, this Royal Decree will come into force from the day it is published in the Royal Gazette onwards. Let there be a selection of senators. and the Chairman of the Election Commission shall oversee the implementation of this Royal Decree. Including specifying the reason for promulgating this Royal Decree, namely because the term of the Senate expires on 10 May 2024, which Section 269 (2) of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand states that when the term of the Senate ends. The selection of senators shall be carried out in accordance with Section 107 by Section 107, paragraph five, of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand.
