Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, advisor to the prime minister and spokesman for the Flood, Storm and Landslide Relief Operation Center (FSOC) and the Forward FSOC, said that the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of unstable weather from today until Monday due to the influence of a cold air mass from China covering the upper North and Northeast regions, resulting in thunderstorms and heavy to very heavy rain in the Northeastern region, including Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani provinces. The Central region includes Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, as well as B angkok and its vicinity. The Eastern region includes Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces. The Southern region includes Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi provinces. 'People are advised to prepare for the unstable weather according to the Meteorological Department's announcement No. 5 (228/2567) which has resulted in many areas of Thailand experiencing heavy to very heavy rain, strong winds, and accumulated rain that may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. As for the rehabilitation of flood-affected areas in the North, Mr. Chirayu said that General Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, as an advisor to the Forward Command Center, along with the w orking group, went to follow up on the progress of the rehabilitation operation in Chiang Rai Province.
