The Prime Minister ordered the integration of a new database of vulnerable groups, hoping to help more effectively. Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, said that the Cabinet meeting resolved to review the Cabinet resolution to consider the criteria for the state welfare card. The state welfare card registration was reviewed by adjusting the registration period from 1 year to 2 years. The next registration round will start in March 2025. All data will be sifted again because increasing it to 2 years would be more appropriate to see who is in the group to receive assistance. However, there has been no consideration of adjusting the criteria and conditions. We must wait for the meeting first. At present, we must adhere to the original framework and consider family income to suppor t the state welfare card and consider all dimensions together, whether it is the disabled or low-income earners. Today, the Prime Minister has ordered the integration of all departments' databases because the previous round of 10,000 baht top-ups found that many departments still do not have linked data, which can lead to errors.
