Bangkok: "Thank You" team has taken a significant step by submitting a request to the Speaker of the House to assist in compensating employees of "Dr. Boon" company following a fraud prosecution that has left them without salaries.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thanakun Jittisara, President of the Santi Prachadham Club, officially submitted a letter to both the President of the House of Representatives and the Chairman of the House Labor Committee. The letter seeks intervention to provide assistance and compensation to employees of Thai Medical Group Co., Ltd. This request follows the prosecution of Dr. Boon Vanasin and 13 others for fraud-related charges, which has adversely affected employees of the company, a subsidiary of Dr. Boon.
The employees have faced significant hardships due to the lack of salaries, impacting their ability to pay for essential needs such as food, accommodation, utilities, medical expenses, and their children's education. Despite lodging a complaint with the Sriracha, Chonburi Welfare and Labor Protection Office, the employees have experienced delays and have not received compensation for their damages.
The request to the House Speaker aims to leverage the influence of the Labor Committee to expedite the investigation and resolution process by the Sriracha, Chonburi Welfare and Labor Protection Office to ensure prompt compensation for the affected employees.
