Udon Thani: "Thaksin" believes that Udon Thani people will not forget each other, insists that he will not give a speech attacking anyone. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister of Thailand, has announced his plans to visit Udon Thani to support Sarawut Petchpanomporn, the Pheu Thai Party candidate for the Udon Thani Provincial Administrative Organization president, in his campaign efforts. According to Thai News Agency, Thaksin expressed confidence that the people of Udon Thani have not forgotten him and the Pheu Thai Party, emphasizing his intention to connect with the locals rather than engage in aggressive political rhetoric. He mentioned that he has not delivered a speech in a long time and is unsure if he will do so during this visit, but he assured there would be no attacks on others. Instead, his focus will be on greeting the people and showing concern for their well-being. When asked about the prospects of achieving victory in the local elections, Thaksin stated that the outcome depends on t he people and the candidates who work closely with them. He acknowledged the presence of political competition, particularly from the Prachachon Party and its advisor, Mr. Pita Limjaroenrat, but regarded it as a normal and positive element of a democratic society. Thaksin mentioned that he will continue to assess his political engagements in Bangkok and other provinces, indicating that his involvement in future campaigns will be determined by these considerations.
