Thailand Launches ‘Suk Tha Long 72 Styles’ to Boost Year-End Tourism.

Bangkok: The government has launched the 'Suk Tha Long 72 Styles' campaign to stimulate tourism in the final stretch of 2024, aiming for a 7.5% growth in tourism revenue in 2025. An E-book compiling five essential activities has been created to promote this initiative. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Karom Polpornklang, Deputy Government Spokesperson, announced that the government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, is driving tourism by unveiling the 'Suk Tha Long 72 Styles' campaign. This campaign includes an E-book featuring five must-do activities designed to offer fresh perspectives and unique selling points with 72 travel routes across Thailand. The E-book encourages Thais to explore these routes, aligning with the concept of experiencing the essence of Thailand firsthand. Five renowned KOLs from different industries have been invited to create travel vlogs, showcasing these routes in their distinctive styles to boost Thai tourism at year-end and maintain momentum into 2025. Mr. Karom emph asized the initiative's aim to entice Thais to explore new experiences through the campaign, which highlights 72 unique travel routes and provides a checklist of five must-try aspects on each route. These aspects include tasting local delicacies, engaging in activities, purchasing artisanal items, enjoying scenic views, and experiencing local lifestyles across Thailand's five regions. The campaign seeks to inspire continuous travel during the high season, promote spending throughout the year, and encourage sustainable tourism by making every city in Thailand a worthwhile destination. The strategy aims to enhance each city's appeal, distributing economic benefits locally by developing cities to become significant tourism hubs. Furthermore, Mr. Karom stated that tourism will be promoted as one of the eight main pillars of Thailand's economy, with the goal of establishing the country as a regional tourism hub. The government plans to rejuvenate the tourism industry, leveraging 'Thai charm' and 'attractive citie s' as key selling points to captivate both domestic and international markets. The target is to drive a continuous revenue growth of at least 7.5%, with an expectation of over 39 million foreign tourists visiting Thailand. This initiative is anticipated to propel the Thai economy and society forward, fostering happiness and sustainability, and positioning Thailand as a premier global tourism destination.
