Thailand Gears Up to Host 33rd SEA Games and 13th ASEAN Para Games

Bangkok: The Minister of Tourism is confident that Thailand will be a good host for the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games. The Minister of Tourism and Sports expressed confidence in Thailand's ability to successfully host the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games, aiming to bring pride to the nation.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, recently chaired a meeting to review the progress of the upcoming games. The meeting was attended by Ms. Natthaya Thaweewong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand. Mr. Atthakorn commended the proactive efforts in all areas of preparation, highlighting that the Ministry is fully prepared to ensure the events' success.

The opening and closing ceremonies are set to feature creative themes: "ONE" for the SEA Games and "The United Heart of The Unstoppable" for the ASEAN Para Games, promising a memorable experience for all attendees. Efforts in live broadcasts, public relations, and collaboration with the private sector are also reportedly making substantial progress.

The Minister emphasized the mission of integrating tourism to enhance the standards of tourist destinations while overseeing safety and facilities in the three host provinces. He encouraged Thai citizens to be exemplary hosts and to boost confidence among athletes and tourists, aligning with the "Sports Tourism" policy. Mr. Atthakorn also expressed optimism about Thai athletes' potential to secure gold medals during the competitions.
