Thailand and Cambodia Commit to Sustainable Joint Development, Says Interior Minister

Phnom penh: Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, expressed confidence in the collaborative efforts between Thailand and Cambodia towards sustainable development. Following discussions with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Maha Boworathibodi Hun Manet, Mr. Anutin emphasized the mutual understanding and commitment of both nations to advance their shared interests. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin led a delegation to the 8th Meeting of the Governors of the Thai-Cambodian Border Provinces in Phnom Penh. During a 20-minute meeting with the Cambodian Prime Minister, he sought support for negotiations aimed at reaching bilateral agreements beneficial to both nations. Mr. Anutin assured that the Thai government is prepared to support efforts to achieve these goals swiftly and efficiently. In response to inquiries about the Cambodian Prime Minister's confidence in Thailand's political climate, Mr. Anutin stated that the Cambodian government is aware and underst anding of the political situation in Thailand, despite numerous lawsuits. He highlighted that the future of sustainable development hinges on international collaboration rather than individual political figures. The focus remains on initiatives that benefit the people of both countries, ensuring continuity regardless of leadership changes.
