Bangkok: Disaster prevention strategies for temple financial management emphasize the importance of clearly separating "temple accounts" from "monk accounts" to ensure transparent handling of temple assets.
According to Thai News Agency, the current assessment by "Phumitanpai" shows that many temples are still struggling with understanding the distinctions between different types of financial accounts and adhering to standard accounting practices. In response, the Office of the Auditor General, the National Office of Buddhism, and the Revenue Department have jointly launched a project aimed at improving knowledge concerning temple accounting and asset management. This initiative also addressed the growing issue of e-donations, providing guidelines to help temples manage these funds more effectively.
