Bangkok: "Suchart" has not yet decided whether to lead MPs to join the Bhumjaithai Party. Suchat has not yet decided whether to bring his group of MPs to join the Bhumjaithai Party, as there are still many areas where MPs overlap. However, he emphasized that wherever he goes, he will go as a group.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin addressed his political future, stating that he has not joined any political party, but that his friends who remain affiliated with their current party must be polite. If he spoke about it earlier, they might feel uncomfortable, as they still need to be on the ground. However, he believes that within the next four months, if the agreement is reached, the 30-day period for joining a political party will be in time.
Mr. Suchart said, "To be honest, we are a coalition government with Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul. We have selected the right people to lead the country towards its goals of prosperity, fairness, and equality."
Regarding other politicians who have already made clear their intentions to join the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Suchart's group will also join the Bhumjaithai Party. He stated that the group talks daily, but one thing that must be determined and played a role moving forward is that all MPs are already selflessly working for the people. However, before joining any party, it must be considered whether it will overlap with any other party's constituency. This is a difficult matter, as overlapping areas may arise, so negotiations are necessary.
Regarding whether the MPs in the group overlap with those of the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Suchart stated that there is no overlap, but that some provinces have their own MP leaders. Therefore, it is necessary to understand with the party leaders whether there will be any obstacles in moving to the party. If there are any obstacles, there is a solution by finding the most suitable place to live.
This suggests a potential merger with a new party to avoid overlapping with the Bhumjaithai Party. Mr. Suchart stated that this will likely be discussed in the future, as in some areas, if MPs in the group join the Bhumjaithai Party, campaigning will be easier because they are all united and do not have to conflict with each other. However, some areas may overlap, making it difficult to allocate candidates to each area. He emphasized that if there is a party transfer, all MPs in the group will join together because they are in a shared position. He acknowledged that the group currently has more MPs, but he did not prioritize the number of MPs needed for political purposes, but rather the need for quality candidates.
With the remaining four months, is it necessary to quickly announce to the public which party the MPs will join Mr. Suchart said, "Today, we are joining the government. We believe that the government's achievements will be tangible."
"We must acknowledge that the Prime Minister has always been a politician. He understands the needs of the people, the national administration system, the political party administration system, and the legal system. He's well-rounded in this area. I believe that within his four months of office, we, who work with him, will see results," said Mr. Suchart.
Mr. Suchart also believes that during elections, people will prioritize their MPs, who are tangible and can be trusted by the people and are part of a political party they can rely on.
As for whether this will become a majority government, as the opposition sees it, Mr. Suchart stated that it probably won't. The Prime Minister's agreement must be fulfilled. If politicians don't keep their word, they won't know how to approach the people in the future. This is the most important issue.
