Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, talked about the campaign 'Visit the North, Half Each' to stimulate tourism in the northern region. He said that it is a measure that, after visiting the northern region and discussing with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), TAT proposed this project using TAT's budget. It is considered a way to boost the morale of entrepreneurs and an attempt to attract Thai tourists to travel together. Mr. Surawong said that initially, the number of rights was set at 10,000, but if the project goes well, additional rights may be expanded. The registration or use of rights will be made easy for the public to use, which may be in the form of registration via application or coupons. This afternoon, he will discu ss with TAT on the format of using rights as soon as possible. He intends to launch the project even earlier than November 1. However, Mr. Surawong stated that this project is considered a starting point for stimulating tourism and the intention is to be a pilot project and for many ministries or agencies to help stimulate it together without having to ask for a cabinet resolution.
