State Enterprises’ Budget Disbursements Surpass Previous Year by Over 20 Billion Baht


Bangkok: The Treasury Department announced that state enterprises’ budget disbursements for the fiscal year 2025 have exceeded last year’s figures by more than 20 billion baht. The Ministry of Finance expressed satisfaction with this achievement, highlighting the significant progress in financial management among state enterprises.



According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thibodi Wattanakul, Director of the State Enterprise Policy Committee Office (SEPO), detailed that the total investment budget framework for 43 state enterprises in 2025 amounts to 265.561 billion baht. The cumulative disbursements, from the start of the fiscal year to the end of September 2025, reached 219.003 billion baht, which is 99 percent of the disbursement plan. This includes investment budgets for 34 state enterprises, from October 2024 to September 2025, which totaled 133.814 billion baht, or 95 percent of the disbursement plan. Additionally, state enterprises operating on a calendar year, from January 2025 to September 2025, disbursed 85.189 billion baht, achieving 106 percent of their disbursement plan for nine state enterprises.



For fiscal-year state enterprises, those that disbursed at least 95 percent of their disbursement plan and had the highest value included the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), and the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority. Meanwhile, in the calendar-year category, the Provincial Electricity Authority, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority were noted for their high disbursement values, each meeting or exceeding 95 percent of their respective plans.
