Royal Thai Army Closes Traffic Routes for Royal Guards Ceremony.


Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army announced the closure of traffic routes for the parade and oath-taking ceremony of the Royal Guards today (December 3). The closure affects Sri Ayutthaya Road, from the 1st Infantry Regiment Intersection to the Benchamabophit Temple Intersection, and Ratchadamnoen Nok Road to the Suan Misakawan Intersection, including Phitsanulok Road from Wang Daeng Intersection to Suan Misakawan Intersection. Road users are advised to avoid these routes from 12:00 onwards. The ceremony will attract members of the public wishing to pay their respects to His Majesty along these routes.

According to Thai News Agency, General Songwit Noonpakdee, the Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, stated that today’s event marks the first parade and oath-taking ceremony of the Royal Guards under the reign of King Rama X. This ceremony is considered an auspicious occasion for both the Thai people and the military. General Noonpakdee encouraged the public to watch and follow the parade and ceremony.
He assured that traffic management plans have been meticulously organized to accommodate the event.

The public can also observe the ceremony and its atmosphere via live broadcast on the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand, providing an opportunity for those unable to attend in person to partake in the occasion.
