The head of security at Khao Kheow Open Zoo has filed a complaint against a Chinese tourist who used a slingshot in the zoo and has written to all tour companies to strictly supervise their tourists and prohibit them from harming or abusing animals. From the case of a TikTok user posting a video clip while visiting Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Chonburi Province, but found a group of tourists using a slingshot to shoot inside the zoo, along with a message saying "It's not cute at all", which has become a topic of much criticism online. After the incident, the director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo said that he had seen the images and the message. In the clip, he did not see anything being shot. Currently, he is investigating. After this, the zoo has a plan to proceed, which is to write a letter to the tour company about this matter and request the original clip to use as a basis for filing a complaint. He also asked tourists to be polite when visiting the zoo, not to throw things at the animals because they may be injured , and not to shout loudly. He wants everyone to love and care for the animals as if they were their own children because they are living beings who feel and are aware like other people. Most importantly, they must respect the rules of the place. The zoo has installed CCTV cameras around the exhibition areas at various points, and has arranged for staff to take care of the animals during times when there are a lot of tourists. If any animal abuse is found, legal action will be taken to the fullest extent of the law. The latest this afternoon (October 21) at Sri Racha Police Station, Chonburi Province, Mr. Kritpas Inthipan, Head of Security at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, was assigned by the Director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo to file a complaint after an initial review of the clip found that the person who used the slingshot in the zoo was a Chinese female tourist. On October 20, a tourist at Khao Kheow Open Zoo filmed a video clip of a group of Chinese tourists and a tour leader in the Tiger Valley area holding a slings hot and shooting it without any clear intention. However, there were monkeys living freely throughout the zoo. The Director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo was concerned that some tourists might have committed an offense against the wildlife in the zoo, so he assigned her to file a complaint with Sri Racha Police Station first. As for the charges, the police will have to discuss with the zoo again to determine what offenses the action falls under. In addition, officials will send a letter to the tour company that the female tourist visited to track her down and provide more detailed information. Source: Thai News Agency
