Rangsiman Rome Criticizes Thaksin Shinawatra for Destabilizing Government

Bangkok: "Rome" slammed "Thaksin" for not being in a position to save the government, pointing out that he is the one who made stability shaky. He hit back at "Pheu Thai" for accusing "People" of not investigating collusion in the Senate, so why not investigate collusion on the 14th floor? He asked "Prime Minister Paethongtarn" if there will ever be a time when she keeps her word after asking to wait and see the results of the Medical Council investigation.

According to Thai News Agency, Rangsiman Rome, MP for the party list and deputy leader of the Prachachon Party, spoke about the case where former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is preparing to go on stage to present his vision. He highlighted the issue with the 14th floor, questioning why Pheu Thai Party members are not addressing what he referred to as the "14th floor collusion case," which he believes undermines the rule of law. Rome acknowledged that the government had more information on the senator collusion case and praised them for their handling of it, suggesting that the opposition should not obstruct but allow the government to perform its duties.

Rangsiman further criticized the current political climate, questioning why the government is urging the opposition to discuss issues they are already addressing. He viewed this as an attempt to discredit the opposition. He also called on Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra to fulfill her promise regarding the Medical Council investigation, urging her to act responsibly.

Regarding Thaksin's vision presentation, Rome expressed skepticism about its potential to aid the government, noting the government's lack of political legitimacy. He pointed out unresolved issues, such as the Thai-Cambodian problem and the Entertainment Complex Bill pending in parliament, which he believes are not being adequately addressed by the government.

Rome concluded by asserting that Thaksin is no longer in a position to stabilize the government, suggesting that Thaksin's influence has contributed to its current instability. He dismissed the notion that Thaksin's vision statement would address matters involving Samdech Hun Sen, emphasizing Thaksin's influence despite lacking an official government position.
