Nonthaburi: More than 60 officers raided a dragon tiger gambling den in a two-story house in Nonthaburi Province, arresting 127 gamblers. According to Thai News Agency, yesterday evening, over 60 police officers from Plai Bang Police Station conducted a raid on a dragon tiger gambling den situated in a two-story detached house covering an area of more than 50 square wah. Upon entering the premises, the officers found gamblers in a state of shock, bewildered by the sudden police presence. After rounding up the individuals present, the authorities counted a total of 127 people, including 34 men and 98 women. The raid also uncovered three tables designated for playing dragon tiger, along with 30 chips valued at 10,000 baht each, 27 chips worth 100 baht each, and 68,080 baht in cash. The operation was initiated following a tip-off from a concerned citizen who reported continuous gambling activities at the location throughout the day. Pol. Col. Jirayut Wanichkul, Chief of Investigation of Nonthaburi Provincial P olice, led the operation alongside the Chief of Plai Bang Police Station. The arrested individuals admitted to traveling from Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi Provinces for the gambling activities, with Mr. Noppadol, aged 57, identified as the host. The police charged the organizers with conducting gambling operations for profit and the participants with engaging in unauthorized gambling activities. All arrested individuals, along with the confiscated evidence, were taken to Plai Bang Police Station for further legal proceedings.
