Bangkok: PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) is partnering with the Department of Fisheries to investigate the feasibility of using decommissioned petroleum production platform legs to create artificial reefs.
According to Thai News Agency, PTTEP is working alongside the Department of Fisheries and several leading universities to assess the potential advantages of these structures in forming new marine habitats. The study aims to explore how these artificial reefs can contribute to marine biodiversity and ecosystem restoration.
