Protests and Debates Erupt on First Day of Government’s Policy Statement

Bangkok: The first day of the policy statement in Parliament saw significant unrest as debates and protests dominated discussions. The session intensified particularly when the Khao Kradong issue and the matter of Senate collusion were brought up, leading to intermittent disruptions. Despite the heated environment, the Speaker was able to maintain order throughout the proceedings.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister remained unfazed by the opposition’s arguments, which he characterized as reiterative. He emphasized that the facts concerning the issues raised had already been presented, demonstrating confidence in his administration’s stance amidst the challenges posed by the opposition.
