Prime Minister Paethongtarn Reaffirms Commitment to Foreign Workers’ Rights

Bangkok: The Prime Minister insists that the government has never thought of pushing foreign workers out of the country. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, emphasized that the government has never entertained the idea of pushing foreign workers out, stating that it is their right if any country calls them back, and there will be jobs waiting for them.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra shared a message on social media, highlighting Thailand's openness to diversity and its welcoming stance towards foreign workers. She assured that the government takes care of the welfare of workers who come to work legally, respecting their rights and adhering to human rights principles.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the Thai government has never intended to push foreign workers from any country out. However, she acknowledged that if a country decides to call its workers back and provides them with employment opportunities, it is within the workers' rights to decide, and it falls under the responsibility of their home country.

Ms. Paethongtarn further pledged not to politicize international relations and urged for international measures that prioritize the interests of the country and its people over political interests, aiming for a positive effect on the situation.
