Bangkok: The Prime Minister engaged in a comprehensive four-hour meeting with the National Police Commission, focusing on the organizational structure and appointments within the Royal Thai Police. The meeting provided an opportunity for the police to present their perspectives without the presence of a press conference. According to Thai News Agency, the meeting, which commenced at 18:37 hrs, was preceded by a brief discussion between Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra and relevant parties in a reception room. This 20-minute discussion took place before the official meeting began. During the session, the meeting was temporarily paused twice, reflecting the intensive nature of the discussions. Following the meeting, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra was seen exiting alongside the National Police Chief, both maintaining smiles. However, questions from reporters regarding the completion of the appointments were met with silence, as the Prime Minister deferred to the National Police Chief, who did not provid e any comments at the time. As the Prime Minister departed the National Police Office, she remarked to the National Police Chief that the meeting served as a new experience. Subsequently, the National Police Chief, while accompanying the Prime Minister out of the Royal Thai Police Office, offered no verbal response to media inquiries, opting instead for a simple thumbs-up gesture.
