According to Thai News Agency, the call for unity was made ahead of a no-confidence motion scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, convened a meeting with Members of Parliament (MPs) and coalition party leaders at the Pheu Thai Party's meeting room an hour before the proceedings. The Prime Minister arrived cheerfully at the House of Representatives and confidently dismissed the possibility of dissenting votes.
Upon entering the meeting room, the Prime Minister was greeted by key figures such as Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the coalition's efforts in addressing parliamentary issues and praised the collaborative spirit exhibited by the government agencies and ministries involved.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of building relationships among coalition MPs to strengthen government unity.
