Police Set to Deliver Arrest Warrant for MP Pu-at to Parliament on February 13

Bangkok: Police have notified the House of Representatives about the impending delivery of an arrest warrant for "MP Pu-at," scheduled to be sent on February 13. The warrant is expected to be discussed as an urgent agenda item during the House meeting on February 20.

According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Col. Aphat Sukhanan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, provided updates on the arrest warrant for Mr. Chai-amphawan Manphienchit, a Bangkok MP from the Thai Kaona Party. Mr. Chai-amphawan is facing charges of raping a Taiwanese female tourist, with the Chiang Mai Police Station spearheading the investigation. The Royal Thai Police have planned to deliver the arrest warrant to the House of Representatives on Thursday, February 13. They have requested that the delivery be made in the morning to ensure it reaches Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, the Speaker of the House, in time for inclusion in the urgent agenda for the February 20 meeting. This step is necessary to seek a resolution from the House regarding the arrest warrant.
