Bangkok: The Prime Minister has announced his intention to present a flood relief plan for the southern region to the Cabinet today. This announcement comes after a brief exchange with reporters, in which the Prime Minister, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, confirmed the submission of the relief measures during a Cabinet meeting.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister was questioned about delegating Deputy Prime Minister Prasert Jantarwongthong for a visit to the South on December 6. Her response was marked by a puzzled expression and the brief remark, ‘Huh.’ Following this, the Prime Minister engaged in a promotional event for the upcoming Red Cross Fair 2024.
During the event, which took place at the exhibition attended by Mr. Khan Prachuapmoh, Director of the Revenue Generation Office, Thai Red Cross Society, and other dignitaries, the Prime Minister tried out the game ‘I-chan Wonderland.’ This game features the Red Cross mascot I-chan, which the Prime Minister compared to a Tamagotchi. She select
ed a green I-chan, naming it Cookie.
Additionally, the Prime Minister purchased 100 Red Cross lottery tickets, series number 21900-21999, at a promotional price of 8,000 baht, down from the usual 10,000 baht. She entered the contact details of Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, her spokesman, for prize notifications, jokingly advising him not to disappear if he wins.
The event concluded with the Prime Minister receiving a commemorative shirt and posing for a photo with the organizers. She extended an invitation to the public to participate in the Red Cross Fair, which aims to support the Thai Red Cross Society, encouraging community involvement and merit-making.
