Pheu Thai Party Takes Steps to Form New Government with Prachachon Party Meeting

Bangkok: Pheu Thai Party leaders and coalition representatives are set to meet with the Prachachon Party at 2:00 PM today to discuss forming a new government. The meeting, scheduled at the Prachachon Party headquarters, highlights Pheu Thai's readiness to consider all proposals in their efforts to establish governance.

According to Thai News Agency, the Pheu Thai Party is sending key figures including Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, party secretary-general; Mr. Chusak Sirinil, deputy party leader; Mr. Chulphan Amornvivat, deputy party leader; and Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, deputy party leader. Coalition partners such as Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, leader of the Prachachat Party, and Mr. Decha Isara Khaothong, secretary-general of the Democrat Party, are also expected to attend.

Pheu Thai Party spokesperson Danupon Punnakanta has previously stated that the discussions with the Prachachon Party aim to foster a positive political atmosphere and avoid a political vacuum. The Pheu Thai Party has accepted the conditions proposed by the Prachachon Party, with an emphasis on implementing these conditions swiftly to dissolve parliament and restore power to the people before the four-month deadline set by the Prachachon Party.

Additionally, the Pheu Thai Party has put forward proposals to address societal differences, such as constitutional amendments or MOU 43-44, through a democratic process by conducting a referendum. The party also intends to work with the People's Party and other parties to expedite cases such as the Senate collusion case and the Khao Kradong land case according to legal protocols.

The coordination efforts with the People's Party and the proposals from the Pheu Thai Party have been discussed with all coalition leaders to ensure mutual understanding and agreement.
