Permanent Secretary of Defense Honors Soldiers with Bang Rachan Medal

Bangkok: Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense visited and encouraged the morale of soldiers injured in the fighting on the Thai-Cambodian border and presented them with the "Bang Rachan Medal" to honor the "brave soldiers" who defended sovereignty.

According to Thai News Agency, General Sanitchanok Sangkhachan, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, and his delegation visited soldiers injured while on duty in maintaining unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border. They visited soldiers receiving treatment at the Sirikit Building and the Chaloem Phrakiat Building. They presented "Bang Rachan Medals" and certificates to seven injured soldiers and to the families of the deceased to offer moral support and express gratitude for their sacrifice. The Ministry of Defense has honored the heroism and sacrifice of the "brave soldiers" affected by the unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense represented the injured soldiers and their families by offering moral support and encouragement. He also presented the "Bang Rachan Medal" to honor and praise their heroism.

The soldiers recognized include Sergeant Major Suthichai Rueruang, Sergeant Major Thanasak Mala, Lt. Kiatwong Sathaworn, Sergeant Major Supachai Suphap, Private Thanapat Huiwan, Private First Class Ratchanon Kaiyafai, and Sergeant Major Phichitchai Bunchoola. This initiative, led by General Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Defense, aims to honor and instill pride in the soldiers who sacrificed their blood and lives to protect the nation's sovereignty, similar to their ancestors.

The "Bang Rachan Medal," named after the heroes of Bang Rachan, serves as a tribute to those injured or killed in the line of duty for the nation. This initiative is a reminder for future generations of Thais to remember and appreciate the sacrifices made by these soldiers.
