Parade Car Electrical Malfunction Claims Lives of Owner and Wedding Host Relative

Ban Phrom Thong: An electric leak in a parade float resulted in the tragic deaths of its owner and a relative of the wedding host. On the evening of June 19, the incident occurred, claiming the lives of Mr. Rungkiat, 36, and Mr. Lon, a relative of the wedding host.

According to Thai News Agency, reporters visited the home of the deceased parade truck owner, where family members were preparing for religious ceremonies. The emotional scene was dominated by the grief-stricken widow of Mr. Rungkiat, who was inconsolable. The family, still in mourning, declined to provide details to the media.

The modified blue pickup truck, equipped with a sound system, remained parked at the scene. Witnesses, including the wedding host and local villagers, initially did not understand the cause of the tragedy. They witnessed Mr. Rungkiat collapsing near the vehicle. In an attempt to assist him, Mr. Lon approached but accidentally made contact with the electrified vehicle after tripping over a barbed wire fence. This contact led to his electrocution. Realizing the danger, bystanders quickly responded by using chairs to detach Mr. Lon from the vehicle and disconnect the power supply. Despite efforts to resuscitate both victims and rush them to the hospital, they were pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
