“Paethongtarn” confirms strengthening of Thai-Singaporean relations

"Paethongtarn" received a phone call to congratulate Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, confirming the strengthening of Thai-Singaporean relations, thanking them for taking care of Thai people in Singapore and agreeing to exchange visits in 2025. After Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, entered Shinawatra Building 3, she received a congratulatory call from Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore (HE Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore) on the occasion of assuming the position of Prime Minister. The Prime Minister thanked the Prime Minister of Singapore and the Government of Singapore for their goodwill and friendship. The Prime Minister reaffirmed his intention to further strengthen relations between Thailand and Singapore by working closely with the Prime Minister of Singapore, both in bilateral, ASEAN and multilateral frameworks, to drive cooperation in various areas, especially in trade, in vestment, food security, digital economy and tourism. Last year, Thailand welcomed more than 1 million Singaporean tourists and thanked the Singaporean side for taking good care of Thai people who traveled to and worked in Singapore. In addition, both sides agreed to visit each other in 2025 to further develop relations and introduce themselves on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Singapore.
